Founded in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, in 1895, Dürr Aktiengesellschaft is a global mechanical and plant engineering powerhouse. The company's operations are divided into several specialized segments. Its Paint and Final Assembly Systems division designs, constructs, and modernizes paint shops and final assembly lines, primarily for the automotive industry. This encompasses comprehensive solutions for various paint shop processes, along with control, conveying, and air handling systems. The sophisticated DXQ software suite offers capabilities for plant monitoring, manufacturing execution, advanced analytics, and other digital innovations. Additionally, this segment provides conveying, filling, testing, and assembly technologies, including 'marriage stations' for integrating vehicle bodies with powertrains, alongside advisory services. It also develops assembly and testing platforms for medical equipment, supplies test benches for electric and hybrid vehicle powertrains, and manufactures injection and inhalation devices. The Application Technology segment focuses on automated spray application for primers, base, and clear coats. This includes infrastructure for paint delivery, quality control, process management, specialized sealing techniques for seams, and adhesive application systems. Dürr's Clean Technology Systems division provides environmental solutions such as exhaust-air purification, battery electrode coating, and noise reduction systems, complemented by ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) technology and supporting services. The Measuring and Process Systems segment supplies precision balancing and diagnostic equipment, alongside filling solutions for air conditioning units and domestic appliances. Finally, the Woodworking Machinery and Systems division presents a wide array of woodworking machinery and integrated systems, including panel-cutting saws, through-feed saws, drilling apparatus, sanders, edge banders, CNC machining centers, and material handling and storage solutions.
