It transforms raw agricultural materials into diverse food items like refined oils, meal, soy flour, and processed sunflower products. Furthermore, it manufactures, packages, and distributes a variety of vegetable oil-based consumer goods, including packaged oils, margarine, mayonnaise, flavored dressings, and sauces. The Nitrogen Production segment focuses on manufacturing and selling nitrogen-based products, notably methanol, UAN (urea ammonium nitrate), and urea. Beyond its core product and service offerings, CHS provides financial assistance to the agricultural community, including specialized loans for both cooperatives and individual producers, along with valuable consulting and commodity risk management services. CHS Inc. was established in 1936 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
