In its Energy division, CHS manages petroleum refineries and pipeline networks. The Nitrogen Production segment focuses on manufacturing and selling nitrogen-based products, notably methanol, UAN (urea ammonium nitrate), and urea. Beyond its core product and service offerings, CHS provides financial assistance to the agricultural community, including specialized loans for both cooperatives and individual producers, along with valuable consulting and commodity risk management services.
