The portfolio also features backing and interlining cloths. The chemical segment is equally comprehensive, providing urethane materials widely used for shock absorption, insulation, adhesives, coating substances, films, cosmetic raw materials, biodegradable plastics, and applications in water treatment. Additionally, Chori supplies inorganic and metallic chemical materials, agricultural and fertilizer inputs, raw materials for flat panel display glass substrates, and components for lithium-ion batteries. Industrial chemicals, such as phosphoric acid, phosphates, plastic raw materials, and metallic surface treatment agents, are also part of their offerings. The company imports and distributes a range of pharmaceutical and agrochemical ingredients and their intermediates, functional organic intermediates, and various food chemicals like proteins and sweeteners. Complementing this, they offer research and manufacturing outsourcing services. In its machinery business, Chori facilitates the sale of transportation equipment, including a variety of four-wheel vehicles, motorcycles, and trucks. The company also engages in the international export of agricultural, construction, and industrial machinery. Founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1861, Chori Co., Ltd. is currently a subsidiary of Toray Industries, Inc.
