CR Micro also offers comprehensive IC assembly, testing, and packaging services to other semiconductor companies. Lastly, the company is involved in the development and production of power semiconductor discrete devices, which find applications in energy-efficient lighting, household appliances, industrial control systems, and personal computing. CR Micro maintains a global footprint, with operations spanning Mainland China, other Asian markets, the United States, and Europe. Founded in 1997, the company initially operated as CSMC Technologies Corporation before adopting its current name, China Resources Microelectronics Limited, in 2008. Headquartered in Wuxi, China, it is classified as a Red Chip company, a designation stemming from its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
