Axalta's coatings also cater to the building materials, cabinet, wood and luxury vinyl flooring, and furniture markets, featuring prominent liquid brands such as Voltatex, AquaEC, and Durapon, alongside powder coating brands like Alesta, Nap-Gard, and Plascoat. Within the Transportation Coatings segment, Axalta develops and supplies critical coating systems for vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This includes electrocoat, primer, basecoat, and clearcoat products for both light and commercial vehicles. Moreover, it delivers specialized coating systems for a variety of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and rail transport, under well-known brands such as Imron, Centari, and Corlar. Axalta's extensive product portfolio is marketed under numerous other brands, including Audurra, Challenger, Cromax, Spies Hecker, Standox, and Syrox, among many others. Founded in 1866, Axalta Coating Systems Ltd. maintains its corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company officially adopted its current name in August 2014, having previously been known as Axalta Coating Systems Bermuda Co., Ltd.
